Englischer Garten

Englischer Garten is one of the largest urban parks. It stretches from the city centre to the north. Also the second-largest beer garden in Munich with 7000 seats is located at the Chinesischer Turm. The Eisbachwelle (Eisbach river wave) at the southern end of the Englischer Garten is the most famous standing wave in Munich. Surfers meet here all year round to ride the wave. However, only highly experienced surfers should take to the water. Surfing on this wave is neither easy nor without risk and therefore unsuitable for beginners.
